Meet the investor: Investing in European companies, what are we looking for? 

Kai Talas, Partner Sparkmind VC

Kai is a learning industry and edtech specialist with extensive experience in strategy, business development, VC and M&A. His career covers companies from tech startups to listed multinational corporations. Prior to Sparkmind, Kai led strategy, venture investments and M&A at Sanoma Learning. Sparkmind VC is a Nordic edtech fund based in Helsinki. They are investing in European companies in seed- and growth phase with up to € 5M. They have in the past year invested in two Swedish companies, Dugga and Lexplore, in addition to their European portfolio. The conversation will be in English.

What are we looking for? Which areas are interesting right now? What should I keep in mind when raising capital? Ask the investor anything. Startups can submit a short application of interest to meet the investor one-on-one for fifteen minutes with the investor afterwards. The investor chooses one beforehand.
